Parking Lot Party August 16th at 5PM
Grace Church encourages our members to pursue numerous avenues to serve our neighbors, whether around the corner or around the globe. Among those are which we directly sponsor in a recurring fashion are:
We are a host site for a Little Lending Library from the Carthage Family Literacy Council which Grace Church has long been a friend and supporter of their mission. The Little Lending Library at Grace Church can be found on the North Side of our Parking Lot next to the sidewalk along Chestnut Street.
Grace Church has committed to meeting the needs of students in Carthage by filling the summer gap in food assistance. Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 3pm-6pm beginning June 27 until August 15. Grace Church will provide a bag of non-perishable food items in a bag for all students who come to pick one up.
Monday evenings at 6pm upstairs in Spencer Hall.
Established in 1972 as a mission of the Episcopal Church, St. Luke’s Nursing Center and St. Luke’s Care Center is a premier licensed nursing and residential care facility. The 95 bed skilled facility offers Medicare certified physical, occupational and speech therapy for those who qualify. Medicaid is also accepted. The assisted living apartments offer a homelike atmosphere with licensed personnel providing assistance when needed and 24 hour peace of mind. Parishioners of Grace Church are actively involved in the ministry of St. Luke’s and we offer Holy Eucharist once a week on Thursdays at 2pm in the chapel. All are welcome and encouraged to join us in worship with our friends at St. Luke’s.

The United Thank Offering (UTO) is a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church. Through UTO, individuals are invited to embrace and deepen a personal daily spiritual discipline of gratitude. UTO encourages people to notice the good things that happen each day, give thanks to God for those blessings and make an offering for each blessing using a UTO Blue Box. UTO is entrusted to receive the offerings, and to distribute the 100% of what is collected to support innovative mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion. To find out more about how Grace Church works with the United Thank Offering please contact Doris Sample for more information.
For over 80 years, Episcopal Relief & Development has been working together with supporters and partners for lasting change around the world. Each year the organization facilitates healthier, more fulfilling lives for more than 3 million people struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease. Inspired by Jesus’ words in Matthew 25, Episcopal Relief & Development leverages the expertise and resources of Anglican and other partners to deliver measurable and sustainable change in three signature program areas: Women, Children and Climate.
Our ministry in Haiti has been active since 1999 and includes regular visits by groups from the parish to our supported Church and School in the southern peninsula of the island . Our partnership is dedicated to providing good primary education and medical clinics for the students and their families. Grace Church has a Haiti Team of lay people dedicated to raising awareness, raising funds, and staffing mission teams to go to Haiti. Our Haiti Team is always open to new faces who are interested in serving this mission. Some people work primarily with fund raising, particularly with our Olde World Christmas Market which provides significant funding. Others are interested in serving “on the ground” in Haiti, volunteering for building projects, dental, or medical missions. If you are interested in learning more about this ministry please contact Pam White or Peggy Ralston to find out more.
